Our Bakes Menu
Biscuits
A cup of tea’s faithful friend – the biscuit. Perfect for any occasion, birthdays, wedding favours, baby showers, corporate events, seasonal greetings, or just something to make you smile on a Tuesday afternoon. I have a selection of designs on my Etsy shop, LittleLambsMakes but if you have a specific idea in mind just let me know.
The biscuits are all decorated by hand with a mixture of jam, fondant, royal icing and handmade decorations or sprinkles.
Cupcakes
Cupcakes – cute and yummy. As with all my bakes my cupcakes are made to order and therefore can be for any occasion and any flavour you want. Current flavours include chocolate, lemon, vanilla, coffee and walnut, bakewell (almond and cherry), raspberry ripple. They can be decorated using either fondant toppers, sprinkles, edible flowers or handmade edibles such as mini meringues, mini chocolate bars. Simply let me know what you would like and I will whip it up accordingly.
Celebration Cakes
Similarly to all my bakes, no two celebration cakes are ever the same – the design is bespoke to you and your request! The cakes that tell a story are often my most challenging yet also my most rewarding. My favourite brief this year included two dinosaurs fighting in a pond (not just any dinos, but a T-Rex and a Spinosaurus) while the little boy and his grandad watched on whilst fishing! While my eldest son decided he would like a cake of a tree on a hill, with a beehive hanging from the tree and bees and ladybirds on the hill. I was over 9 months pregnant but I did not let a little thing like going in to labour stop me from creating his dream cake!
Cake Toppers
I love cake modelling. Those little characters sitting on top of the cake are one of my favourite things to make. Depending on their size they are either made from fondant or a mix of fondant and rice Krispie and marshmallow – therefore they are edible, although very sweet.
Cakes
Cakes bring people together – gather round and grab a slice… or three. My bakes are made to order, although I do provide a selection of small layer cakes to my local deli, Park Lane Wine and Deli in Sandbach on a weekly basis. Popular flavours at the moment are lemon and chocolate. A layer cake is simply how it sounds – usually two or three layers of cake sandwiched together with buttercream, ganache or fruit jams, smothered with more buttercream and decorated to tempt you.
They can be for any occasion and flavours include chocolate, lemon, vanilla, coffee and walnut, bakewell (almond and cherry), raspberry ripple to name a few.
